1 there are no blank skins. you have to make your own..use save skin as template.
2 yes you can use adobe
3 yes you can fly them .. but only offline..

good luck and im looking forward to seeing some stuff

Unlike Il2, AH has no rivet and panel line template.  When you save a skin, it gives you the actual texture where you then make your own panel lines and rivets.

Thats correct.  When you save a skin, it saves the bitmap of the default skin.  AH doesn't allow you to select roundels or squadron codes, etc from the hanger.  Instead, you as the skinner add those.

What you do is create everything from scratch using the default bitmap as a layout for where everything goes.  Just paint over it with different layers, etc.

Make sure you rename the folder the skin is in. Example, if the default folder you "Save skin as..." is 109F4, you need to add a "1" to the end of that. Or a 2... or up to 15 I believe. So you can have multiple offline skins at once.

EDIT: The 109s are being remodeled as we speak. You should wait until they're done. Chances are the skins we have now won't fit perfectly onto the model we're about to get.

Well, if you save it, then run the conversion, you usually have to save it again. Example: I save my PSD file then export to bright, and it asks me to pick a file name and saves it again. If you're just testing, you can go to Image > Mode > Indexed and choose "Adaptive" from the type box and "8 bit" from the second drop box. Doesn't always look the best, but if you're still working on the skin give it a shot.

Having said that, sometimes it looks better than bright, sometimes bright looks better than it.

Straffo, are there any other conversion tools out there, like bright? I'd be interested in comparing some of them.
