Delete the video8cfg file in the AHII folder, and relaunch AH.

Also have you made any changes to nose art lately?
Try reloading your nose art, as well once you are in game.

Sounds like an art problem of some sort to me.

Hope this helps.

delete the cache folder.  Then start AH.  It should then automatically run a setup cache thing for ya.  If it doesn't go into video settings and makesure everything there is set to what u had it.  Then hit OK and go into AH online.  Hopefully it works for ya.

Tried that and no luck

Got it fixed by uninstalling game, deleting HTC folder and re-installing

It really sounds like some resource file in the AH installation directory got marked read-only, which would prevent a proper update.

Skuzzy...

How about a pointer to what files are being called when I click the launch button?

What files are unique to the plane being flown?

For me to debug this I need to try one item then the next.

Don't mind helping you debug a problem but it would be much easier with some help.

Try the stdshape.res file.  However, there could be many others in the 'settings' folder, the 'cache' folder, and/or the 'skins' folder which could be causing it as well.

None of the files in the Aces High II installation folder should be marked as read-only.

Why not try this.  Rename the 'HTC' folder and install the full version of the game.  Then copy over what you need from the old 'settings' folder.  See if that fixes it.
