Thanks for the new version HTC group.......but.......now how about fixing the server or whatever so that I can log in to play it?? Very frustrating, try to log on, goes straight to "would you like to try an alternate route?" Even the alternate route doesn't work.

reboot your PC, reconnect to the net and try again. make sure firewall isnt blocking AH.

I tried those off the bat. I don't have a software firewall anymore, so that's not the issue. I can't think of a solution right now. Am hoping for HTC help.

If you haven't played in a while, and didn't get the last patch, you probably need to download the new version directly from the homepage. I had the same probably, and was tearing my hair wondering what was wrong. Then Pyro reminded me that we changed server service, so the older versions won't point to the right place.

Typically, if you are on the latest version, and you can get to the WEB site, but not get logged in, the port is being blocked for the login.

The login authentication takes place on the same server as the WEB site runs on.

If you have done any Windows updates, check to make sure Windows did not activate the built-in firewall.

EDIT: By the way, is this for ONLINE or H2H?

The online upgrade was going to take 35 minutes according to the screen, I DL'ed it via the www and got 700+ speeds! My pings last night were in the 20s, but I suffered from discos and microwarps more than any time since AH2 came out (and of course I know the two are not related).

I don't know enough to name a cuplrit and I am NOT flaming anything, just mentioning it.
