Spit 16 vs Spit 8
« on: November 11, 2005, 07:15:30 AM »
Would some one explain the preformance difference between the 2 planes?
they seem to be about the same to me but I'm looking for input from the other Spitfire drivers out there.

Thanks

Spit 8 has full span wings.  It turns a bit better, rolls a bit slower, has the 2 20mm 4 303 mg gun package and better range due to the extra internal fuel

Spit 16 has clipped wings, turns well but not quite as well as the 8, rolls faster with the clipped wings, has 3 hardpoints for ordinance as it was a late war ground attack Spit for the most part.  Has 2 20mm and 2 .5 mgs.  XVI is a little faster down low.
