Pyro has said about 2 years ago that the FW-190 FM was going to be upgraded. The last upgrades were in graphics only.

It is one of the oldest FM's in AH.

Currently Ace's High has the FW-190 gaining almost as much weight between the AH FW-190A5 and the AH FW-190A8 as the actual series did from the FW-190A0 to FW190A9.

No they are based off of EB-104 test flown at Wright Patterson during the war.

I'd love to see the Fw190s get their flight models updated and a representative spread of models at the same time as the B-17 gets redone.

I would expect to see more A/C being brought up to AH2 standards in the next version, with the trend towards the first cycle of TOD. I would expect the B17's to be looked at as well as the P47's. Also the other planes in the RAF stable (depending on the scope of the first ToD) I wouldn't be surprised to see the Typhoon and Mossie high on the list of update candidates. Just my guess though.

Ya know what, though? Pyro's said that if/when they update the 190s a lotta folks are going to be upset, because I take it they're overmodeled as it is. He said something along those lines in one of the many Fw190 threads.

Wow,

I can't see that if they use good flight tested data. The aircrafts strengths are tied to the design. It was one of the premier dogfighters of WWII.

Of course, right now in AH, the Luftwaffe's best fighter is the Bf-110! Guys get more kills dogfighting it in the CT than the 109 or 190.

The FM we have now is the result of using deeply flawed wartime allied testing data. Not surprising as there were not many Focke Wulf factory trained mechanics or experienced Luftwaffe pilots rushing over to show the allies how to fly or maintain the design.

I don't see that as neither variant AH models reaches any of Focke Wulfs data on the design for level speed.

I was under the impression that they hadn't had the cockpits redone. But I don't really fly them much so I could very well be mistaken.

The 190s were the fist ones to get redone along with the P-47s. I agree with most of you guys. I think the B-17 will be redone, but i also think the JU88, 87, B-26, Lanc, Boston will be redone. And the B-25, and some other bombers will be added. Just my 2 cents!
