Well there are still chunks of the airframe still attached to the mounts. Point is, a thrown or damaged blade will not tear a plane in half, lest not a WWII combat aircraft.

(maybe the really early ones, lol.)

If you were in a bomber or twin engine aircraft and an engine catches fire, Can't you turn that endine off, go into a dive and the fire will go out (maybe)

I recall seeing this before.
