Clock Runs Fast

I keep having to sync my PC clock. It gains about a minute a day. It's no big deal to sync it up but it just seems odd. Windows and Symantec refuses to do updates unless my clock is synced with theirs. Strange.

Motherboards often have batteries just for the onboard clock. Either its dedicated for the clock or it's the same battery for clock and BIOS/CMOS/whatever. If you're losing time I'd suggest investing in a new battery to see if this helps.

It's running fast. But I know a dead battery can do strange things. Doesn't it only run on the battery if it's unplugged? This thing has been without power for an approximate total of 10 minutes since I bought it last year.
Thanx Krusty
