I would love to see real water in this game. The fact that I can belly onto the water and it sounds like running across the airfield just get's to me sometimes lol. Maybe making a splash and having X amount of time to ditch or instead of sounding like cement on the bottom of your plane it sounds like water

Also a reflection or glare off of the water from the sun would add to the realism as well and make for decent getaway's.

Any other ideas or is this impossible with this engine. I imagine it could cause lower FPS though.

They have sun reflection. Looks like crap, so I leave that off. It's called "Animated Water".

As for the rest I've suggested that before, I'm with ya!

Animated water look sweet, but makes it impossible for me to judge my alt (ie distance from water). I kept augering so i turned it off.

What i would like to see is water thats a little less dark. The default water tiles make it very difficult to see planes against it, especially at sunset/sunrise. The water colour on the Italy map (SEA) looks muuch better and is much easier to fight over.

I totally agree with you, Schatzi. Fighting over water is difficult, you can't judge exactly your height... just one thing: over real water, at low heights you'd have the same problem...

And I agree with you, too, Jethro, it would be nice to have a different sound effetcs...
