Was just wondering if, when I'm spawn camping a VH, and an nme GV spawns with his turret already reversed and pointing at me (when I'm behind him) the very moment I can see him, is this the result of some type of program or connection cheat?  This has been happening more and more.  I've seen the same player do this 4 and 5 times in a row during the same combat, as has my squadron CO among others.  Isn't this a violation of the rules on cheating?  Yet, it seems to be getting more and more prevelent.
And if it is cheating, what does the community thnk about such cheats and the people who use them?  Should we be concerned and ask something be done about it? Just wondering.

There is an inevitable lag between the time he spawns on his FE, and the time you see him on your FE.  Depends on a few factors and can be almost instantaneous or a few seconds.  In that time, he'll traverse his turret...

it isnt cheating at all. :)

Of all the online games I play I will say the HTC does a GREAT job at dealing with cheats.
Maybe i have been lucky but in 4+ years playing this game I have yet to see a cheat.
Not saying its no possible but HT has from what I understand as a great system for dealing with hacks.

It really just sounds like you had a streak of crappy luck.

Besides, isnt camping a VH quite a bit dweeby!  I mean it's not cheating but it is definitely gaming the game!  How long do you think an enemy tank could sit inside the parameters of an opponents base without getting sticky-bombed or the old grenade down the hatch trick.  hee hee:D

I've seen only one true instance of cheating, and that was even before I've joined the game in v1.05. I seem to recall reading about a post where the P-51 was dropping infinite amount of bombs.. IIRC, that's the only case of a bona-fide, proved, cheating happened in AH.

I always wondered about cheating in this game, I havent seen no real gamegaurd, but maybe the coding is that good, and maybe it is, it just doesnt attract hackers to spend hours trying to edit data of a game, just so u can get some perks lol, but Im curious, Is there a gameguard on this? What is there to prevent hacking?

I was simply using this incident as an example of what I was asking about,and it was what prompted be to finally ask.  I wasn't trying to  report anyone or anything.  Was just asking if the community thinks this kind of thing does happan, and is it considered a cheat or not.  And what, if anything, the community thinks of cheating IF it were to occur.
I've seen a number of things that appear to be too structured, selective or repetative to be a random accident or unmanaged, but I don't know that for a fact, so I wondered about it.

yep, its the lag... if you killed someone at the spawn.. he probably told his buddy that you were there and as soon as they hit the button to spawn they started to turn their turret... since there is a slight lag (sometimes more than slight) he is sitting there before you can see him and he his getting his crosshairs on you..  example.. we were taking a base and i parked my panzer right behind a VH... as soon as they would spawn in the VH i would pop them... well the cat was let out of the bag and boom... i was looking down the barrell of a tiger.. i shot.. "ZING" off his turrett.. and i was trying to find my turret..... just bad lag brother...   :aok
