it is no problem chewing up a zeke in a spit5 right?

Wrong.

Run into the right Zeke pilot and start the fight slow ... the Zeke will clean your clock. If the Spit V out merges the Zeke, it will get one, maybe two clean snapshots, and if you don't finish the Zeke in those circumstances, its all over.

As most have mentioned here ... if the Spit V takes the fight at higher speeds, the Zekes chiity roll rate at high speed will be its undoing. Let the fight get slow and it's advantage Zeke.

Nah Dred.

UNPERK EVERYTHING except the "Jet".

Think of everything that is perked ... why ? ... with the way that people now fly these days, along with the vast amount of people that are online, along with the plane set that is now available, I fail to believe that ANY plane will dominate the MA.

Remember, all the perking of planes was established back in a day when AH was far different than what we have today. Perking was needed back then ... it is not needed now.

I would love to see HT remove all perks (except for the "Jet") for at least 2 tours and lets see the stats ... I bet they wouldn't be much different that what we see now.

Planes should only be limited by their ENY factor ... not perks.

What's perked ...

Ar234 - Leave it perked ... its a jet.

F4U-1C ... not the monster it once was, compared to what is available in the hanger these days.

F4U-4 ... not the monster it once was, compared to what is available in the hanger these days.

Me 163B ... leave it perked

Me 262A-1 ... leave it perked

Spit XIV ... not the monster it once was, compared to what is available in the hanger these days. High altitude flyer ... yeah ... lots of fights up there.

Ta 152H-1 ... oooooo ... what a monster !!! Unleash this and the whole MA will fall apart. Everybody will be ditching their current ride for this monster ... NOT !!!

Tempest ... not the monster it once was compare to what is available in the hanger these days.

Any plane that is "not the monster it once, was compared to what is available in the hanger these days" can easily be beaten by some of the newer variants that have been introduced over the past 3 years and could also be easily beaten by some that have been in the stable for years.

There are many more and better pilots in AH than there was when the "perks" were dealt out and for the reasons that they were delt out.

Drop the perks on the C-Hog and you will see C-Hogs everywhere ? I doubt it ... and if it were true ... then you would have alot of C-Hog vs C-Hog and what is wrong with that.

HT ... drop the "perks" and these silly "perk" discussions GO AWAY ... FOREVER !!!

Right on Slap!!

I find it doesn't matter what the perk price is for a plane, I fly it differently than a free plane in the roughy the same category.  I have plenty of perks to burn, so it;s not fear of loosing the perks that change my style of flying.  I just don't enjoy having the hoard get infected with the "kil the perk bird" flu.  ;)

The Tempest is still the best prop plane in the game...bar none. Unperking it would be a big mistake. I do agree that some perked planes should be unperked though.

AKAK (and others) your opinions are fair, and called to the spec and stereotypes of these aircraft. what you are not taking into account is that even with equal pilots things are not so set in stone.

dogfighting is an art.   even with equal painting skills some artists still produce better creativity.

fine we can do spit16 first, then spit5.

If you really believe you can win this fight why are you still fighting here and not in the DA?

I'll go there now, and wait 5 mins for you. If you dont turn up this thread is dead for me, GAL.
