Why were bombs eliminated from Bf109E4 and F4?

This makes no sense, both these planes carred bombs, each LW fighter squadron often had a dedicated Jabo group.  And Bf109E4 was used heavily as a fighter bomber later in its carrer. And heck these was the whole historcical odditity where Bf109E4 were forced to carry bombs to bomb england, and now we cant simulate that...

How can removing these simple historical loadouts of a single 500lbs bomb be justified when P47s are allowed ridiculously generous and ahistorical loads such as simultanieusly carrying 8 50cal guns with full 425rpg ammo, 2 1000lbs boms, 1 500lbs bomb, 10HVAR rocket and 100% fuel...

WTF?

beacause 109e and 109fs are contemmporary to spits 1 and 5

even spit 1 and 5 dont carry bobbs

i think HTC are trying  to make spits amd 109s match each other (weapons wise)

 this patch was sad , annoying for a lot of "axis" players,

im ok with the removal of GONDOLAS on 109Fs... but why remove BOBMS on 109E/F and GONGOLAS on 190K-4:mad: :furious

Some non-Luftwaffe users of the 109E used them VERY heavily as Jabos, and the new version completely eliminates that.

I don't know which irritates me more, that or the lack of gondolas/rockets for the K4 :mad:

I'm not sure, but i belive that the E-4 didn't carry a bomb. It came with the E-7 which finally had a fuel tank and the possibility to cary a bomb.

Forget that K-4,i have photo's of a Me-262 carrying 2 -250 lb. bombs and rockets what's up with that?

They have too give the spit somewhat of an armament package over the 109's.:aok

E4 carried bombs, the fuel tank came with E7.

The 109E-4/B carried bombs...

ETC 250 rack - 250 kg (550-lb.) bomb or four SC 50 bombs.

Same with the F-4/B...

Pyro asked about 109 armament options, specifically about the 4 x 50kgs. Most said the 50kgs would be useless in AH (as they are on the 190F-8). Apparently Pyro got frustrated over the discussion in that thread and deleted all his replies.

I don't know why the 250kg load outs were eliminated and can't see any reason (even in that old thread) why they don't have them. Same with the K-4 gondolas as it was pointed out in that thread that JG26s K-4s were delivered to the squadron with gondolas. However,  they did remove them.

The 262 that carried bombs is a different variant then we have in AH:

Me 262A-1 - Fighter
Me 262A-2 - Fighter-Bomber

Eventually, many E-4s were upgraded to E-7 standard and were able to carry DTs as well (post-BoB). Just as E-1 and E-3s were upgraded to E-4 standard.

In the winter time the fish go for the deeper waters so one must work harder at trying to lure them in............
