Yup, that is a good post. I read the BBS for a month before I ever logged into AH when I first started just to get a feel for the community.

Yup, to help AH grow, which in the end will benefit us all, we must all search for ways to contribute to the sense of community, both in-game and on these boards. Debating counter-points to a topic accomplishes this as it establishes boundaries and a paradigm for gameplay behavior in an otherwise totally open-ended game. Without articulating through debate the vague ethics, limits of acceptable behavior, styles and modes of play and how they are perceived in-game we give the potential or new player no frame of reference for their actions. Giving them that frame of reference is crucial in retaining these players through the steep learning curve of AH. The more educated they are going in and through the initial phases of their AH experience the more likely they are to stick with it and themselves become a permanent member of the community.

i don't care about anyone's style of gameplay per se...

One of these days Shane, I'm gonna send you walking back to your hangar after pwning you in a fair fight. Not that I haven't shot you down, but the few times I have, it has usually been a gang bang or a cherry pick.

Not that I dislike you, or want revenge, it is just a personal goal.

Right now, looking at the disparity in our skill sets, I would say it's gonna be a while.
