The bidding wars on ebay was great entertainment for my lunch hour . Most of these were one day auctions with the action happening in the last 2 mins or less. watched one go from 910.00 to 1775.00 in less than 45 seconds. The highest price that I saw went for 1825.00.

Guess i was wrong to luagh at those waiting in line for them.

Been toying with it for a while, pity the only game MS provided was "Kameo", only so-so.

BTW, I think they supersized the AC transformer so that the console looks smaller :D

All in all, it looks sleek and the fact that you can use it as a media center is certainly a plus.

I did a search for those out of curiosity and chose closest as the option. There was one less than 5 miles from my office with a buy it now option of $1850.00. The guy had even posted that he had just finished standing outside Best Buy here in town to get one of the 35 they were receiving. Talk about inflation and some stupid soccer mom will break down and spend nearly $2k for the d*** thing; for her whiny 12 y/o brat kid. Then she will b**ch about it when it drops to $350 a few months from now. I am hanging on to get mine when the plasma comes rolling in the house. By then all will be good...come on christmas. Till then I guess I have to tough it out with my current Xbox and computer.

count me in as one of the few who sat outside to get mine.. #4 in line out of 100 people at my best buy and 40 something walked away empty handed..

only had to suffer through a night of pouring rain, ha ha

Nothing will happen....at least it shouldn't because according to the eBay rules they posted you were only getting a box. I should see if one of my buddies who ordered his online still has his box and post that on there for sale. Hell just to walk away with a couple of dollars would be worth it. LOL!!!!!

I get free top-brand skiwear and other skiing equipment for the same reason :D Always nice to get free stuff! Whatever I dont need ends up under someones the xmas tree. I keep or sell the tickets tho...

Anyone else going to the olympics in Torino next year?

We get a lot of free stuff, but consoles is still iffy. Saitek and CH sent me most of their stuff, along with various other companies for headphones and such.
