[snicker] broken hearts
« on: December 20, 2001, 10:27:00 PM »
"A broken heart is what makes life so wonderful five years later, when you see the squeak in an elevator one day; she now weighs 3 tons, has five kids screaming by her side, and says between taking gulps from a burrito 'long-time-no-see!'"

Ahhh, ain't it great?  :D

Aye. You see this good looking woman, and you envy her for the great ease beauty adds to her life. Then, a second later, you notice the child.

I always have to quelch a sadistic laugh and some smugness: I am free, and she is not  :D

Hmmm... a woman - or man - with a child is a success; a man - or woman - without a child is a failure. No progeny means that you're a biological dead end.

More seriously, I know a large number of happy couples and the whole is very much greater than the sum of the parts.
