I just downloaded the 10 day trial. im guessing its just like any other mmo? what Can some of you give spade some money? I mean.. help me around? show me the ropes:p

I heard they shifted it to be more of a 1st person shooter?  And Jedi is now a starting profession?

I admit I haven't looked at anything to do with that game since the infamous Jedi-revamp of June '04... where they totally screwed Jedi into the ground.

I am a jedi level 5.  I heard this game was soo hard to get jedi, so i guess  they just added it

Your download speed dont mean squat if their server is overloaded or you have a bad route to it.

its been a fun game for me to play, tho less and less so as it has devolved since Combat Upgrade, but I am finished with it after the NGE.

Imagine an enhancement only niki pilots like it, Only because the teletubbies tell them too.

I was in the beta for about 4months before it was released.  Not alot of content at first, but lots of potential.

At first you had to work your arse off to get Jedi.  It was grinding through proffessions until you had mastered the 5 proffessions that were randomly selected when you made your character.  Then they changed it to a quest based system, once everyone had started just grinding proffessions instead of actually playing.  I'd already unlocked my Jedi slot before they changed this.  So... it used to be really hard to get Jedi in SWG.

Also heard they are porting SWG to the Xbox 360 and PS3, tryin to sucker in the console crowd and milk a few more bucks off the Star Wars license.

Porting SWG to consoles has been a rumor that's been debunked multiple times.

I just saw a commercial on the cable sci-fi channel for SWG total experience.  The game will not die, it has just morphed into a extremely shallow version of its former self.  For the reason states that SOE simply could not manage the enormous size and complexity of the code.  They evolved themselves into extinction with the NGE.  Noobs will come and play the shallow game and think its neat, all the folks that spent the past 2+ years playing the game will move on, or die

Well having never played it I think I might download the game and go from a newbie perspective. Hopefully it won't engage too much of my life and cause me to spend more hard earned cash on it.
