Cosmo, Grendel and OK visited Latvia in summer 2005, visited local museums, aviation locations and travelled a bit around. Originally we had planned to go to Moscow airshow, but there were too many cancellations so we had to can the trip and dedided to go somewhere "closer" but still exotic. Latvia it would be.

From Latvia we found a truly interesting "Soviet Aviation Museum", old abandoned airfields that local clubs and entrepreneurs have taken into their own use, excellent museums, pretty ladies and excellent food.

And it all was saved to both video and photos.

Nice plane pix there. I didn't see much in the way of pretty ladies until the last page. Even then it was only 2 shots from the rear. The 2 horrible "babushka's" that feature prominently in quite a few of the shots were a real turn off though.

Sometimes its hard to tell where the air museum ends and the scrap yard begins!

It's a promo campaign of some sort... No doubt about that. But why lettuce, what were they promoting?
