Some requests I've asked for before in other forums.

To be able to use "gods eye mode" while in the film viewer giving virtually limitless capabilities as far as picture angles go. To do this, the joystick would also have to be recognized by the film viewer.

Also a view that is much like the F3 external view now that can pan 360 degrees on both axis but one that is not so ridgidly set. So what I mean is that it would be like looking at the plane from another plane flying close to you... Where the plane is still moving up and down within your view and not just parked right in the middle of the screen showing no movement at all.

Like what you see in this film from WW2 of 109's after they are airborn. There is a couple shots where they camera is pointed at the fighters and then at another close up shot of a 109 from another planes perspective. This would really add a big dimension to the films.

Those are my two most wanted changes.

I think that with them set in the film viewer, the posibilites are almost endless as to the kinds of films and quality of films that can be made. It would add a much stronger feel of realism in the films and make things flow alot more nicely.

Gods eye would be especially nice for say take off's with large formations where you could park the camera or "view" from the end of the runway as all the bombers are taking off, or park the view in midair giving a fly by effect when say two planes are engaged in a dog fight.

I realize they are probably not easy things to do but the films that can be made with the use of these kinds of things would be all together in a different ball park compared to what we see now.

I think HTC will be the first to benefit from improved player made films.  It is a free advertising source.  The more impressive the film, the more people will want to play the game.

I can't count the amount of times i have watched IL2 films and then immediately want to play the game (only to remember how much i hate the AI in it).  I think the 'Requiem' film even made me go out and buy IL2:FB.

Maybe when recording films there needs to be two options...

"Detail Record" specifically for movie makers, record everything within a 20k radius or something in high detail (probably slow down the computer whilst recording and have massive file size)

"Record" for those that casually record every flight just incase something should be needed later
