Not done, but a quick skin viewer screen cap to show the current progress. I've been planning this one for a while (but got sidetracked by the new 109s).

I might take the brightness of the brown down a shade or two, but I've got a pretty good top/bottom/port/starboard color plate of it and it lists the RLM colors used, and has them in sample squares. I think my usual source for RLM colors (a webpage) would show a darker brown, but I wanted to see how this looked, first.

when you're making skins,  is your windows's gamma value set at 1.0?

Yep, I noticed that his skins are a little bright as well.  But, thats just IMO and could be correct.  I know little to nothing of luftwaffe birds.

If that is 190 A-8 W.Nr 171 789 'Black << + -'  that Major Karl Kennel surrendered in at Kitzingen then check this page:

Surrender of S.G. 2, 8 May 1945

You can find a profile and  photos here:

I have those crash photos, or rather scans from a book that had them.

This is going to kill my bandwidth so I'm just linking them not inserting them. Check out:

EDIT: Ik3, United, I do all my work at 1.0 gamma, yes. This one looks bright but has no weathering on it yet. It will become more "dull".

Found a better reference for RLM 76, used my older paint chips as a basis for the 81/82 as well, looking much  better now (and not as bright).

Oh and just so you can compare, the last one was without any weathering layers. It was "clean" to show the colors better.

I'm unfamiliar with this description. I was only going to skin 2-3 190a8s because there just aren't that many that appeal to me, but if you can show me another one I'm open to suggestions!

Wow.  VERY Nice.  I might even fly that one and I HATE 190s.

I've actually got that only on special places, specifically the cowling that opened, the gear doors, the inboard cannon pods, and this one prominent line on the inboard leading edge. The rest of them are not like that. I think it accentuates the parts that opened or were most noticable. I'm open to removing it, however.

EDIT: I may be thinking of something different. I'll go through and tweak layers to see what I can get.
