In need of an assistance.
« on: November 29, 2005, 09:30:46 PM »
I’m writing a research paper, and need assistance consisting from an ‘average’ person’s opinion/view/response.

In a few short sentences, what kind of an image, emotion, logic does a word ‘slave’ bring out?

Cooperation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

While most of American's think of the black south, I'm allways reminded that the concept of slavery is ALOT older then the aformentioned Idea.  Many groups have been slaves through out history to somone else.  Currently when I hear the word slave, I think of my wife's credit cards.  As a man is a slave to his debter.

I would rejoin, but since I am so preposterously above average it is my view that I would not fit into your demographic. I would abhor skewing your results so egregiously.

Please do not feel diffident towards ‘average’. If I take everyone’s opinion, it becomes average, hence the word average.

A disturbing image flashed through my head of me when I worked in the call center at T-Mobile to pay the bills while going to school.  I'm pretty sure there was an opinionated black lady on the other end of the phone who is mad because we had the audacity to cut off her phone service after she hadn't paid her bill.
