Spitfire XVI took the #1 position even though it was not available in the first third of the tour. All Spits got 23% of the total kills.

It will be interesting to see what will happen with the Spit XVI's use in it's first full tour.  It had the disadvantage of only having 20 days last tour and the advantage of being both very good and very new.  In Tour 70 and Tour 71 that usage may fall off a bit as La-7 drivers learn that it doesn't offer the automatic escape of their old rides and as people learn how to kill it.

Because every n00b flies it.

It is a very easy plane to get into, does everything great like all other spits only that the 16 also rolls far greater. It is a true dream to fly (although I find it somewhat boring as with all spits).

Very interesting is the k/d ratio of the K-4. Surprised by the low k/d of the two new Spitfires, tho.

The Tempest has almost twice the K/D of the 262 or 163 and accounts for a much higher % of kills...Interesting. ;)

Yeah the XVI is awesome.  It is still as easy a kill as any other spit, but down low surrounded bogys, it is far from boring and loads of fun.  If you are bored in a spit, you are either too high, around too many greens or just a kitty cat. :aok :D LOLH

MAR01 I am not sure, but I think what he meant by boring was (least how I took it) it doesn't offer him a challenge to fly it. As say a less uber plane would. But that's just my guess as to what he meant.

SpitXVI's are much harder to bounce than a normal Spit, they can just 'flick' the stick and be facing 180 degrees the other way in an instant.

Levi got 94 kills in Tempest for 16 deaths, nice enough, but only a small percentage of the 6,958 total Tempest kills. That's not statistically significant when compared to the arena totals (Levi's K/D was just under 6 to 1 compared to arena wide 5.23 to 1).

Fair enough mars but I use my Ki84 for that. More challenging plane but more or less equally dangerous when flown the right way (part from no Hispanos).

No no no! You worship me! I got a K/D of 18 to 1 in it! ;) (3 hops). I usually get 30 to 50 to 1 in it when I fly it more, but of course I don't fight, I just kill...
