You don't. There is no reverse in Aces High planes.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

You can do it on a CV, but it's not so much backing up as moving just slower than the CV underneath you.

Put full flaps out and play with your throttle.. keep it between 0 and 5%.

might be possible as the same way in real life when they wanted to back up B17s or P38s,, on twin or multi engine planes anyway, I have never tryed it. Do recall seeing it mentioned somewhere before.

but for what purpose do you need this?
"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC

A notch or two of flaps, from start, full flaps towards end of runway. WEP it.

This technique was used more in AHI and in today's game you really don't need to backup, it wastes time.

when on a cv, just come to a complete stop, pull up tailhook if u have 1 and apply just a lil throttle and use your rudder to move it sideways, just make sure you don't fall off the back of the cv like I do... a hint when doing this, to stop from backing up, use brakes not, more throttle :( like I did originally lol... I use this allot to position lancs and b24's so I won't hit the tower of the cv... good luck
