Rolling Stone and Guitar World are proper sources? People who buy the music are the one's who decide which bands are the best selling.

Best selling doesn't mean cchit to me.

No band will ever again have as  massive an impact that the Beatles have had on almost every aspect of modern music and marketing.

What was the hit on that one Dago?  Do you remember what year it came out?  The only two Albums I have by them are "Best of The Doobies" and "What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits".  They had great harmonies and a great sound, especially before Michael McDonald joined them.  Jeff Baxter is one of the unsung heros of the guitar and his work went a long way to define not only the sound of the Doobie Brothers but also Steely Dan.  Believe it or not he was hired by the Bush administration as a military consultant.  He is  a self-taught expert in missile defense systems.
