Swoop,

Are these listed w/ your Ace's handle? I been seeking out your missions if you've uploaded to any of the OPF sites.

I have a couple of requirements for downloading missions.

Full briefing
Cut scene opening
Support from at least one other squad
Armor support
Air support
Ship or artillary support.
Real life objectives-- ie, towns w/ crossroads, airports, comm/dar sites etc.
Cut scene close.
heheh no need for lip sync and voices.

I wouldn't want to fight NATO in real life. They'll slam you w/ all this stuff  :)

I was a little disapointed toward the end of the campaign, your squad is tasked w/ taking out a scud launcher w/ a nuke warhead. You only get support from 3 Abrahms.. Now, don't you think NATO would blast in there with F-15E's F-16's, A10's?. Wouldn't they be concerned about radation leeks from the launcher?.. Would your guys would be wearing bug suits? -grin-

I d/l'd something interesting from one of the sites, it's the open pbo's from the campaign. With voice and lip sync, it's 23MB's, without only 3.5MB's I think it's a good way to learn all the trigers etc.

Theres all kinds of trigers that haven't been explored yet. Like you charactor sitting down at a table at a restrant. Theres a radio nearby, command menu comes up, turn on radio. Obviously if a menu command comes up its a clue to your mission.. The anouncer reports heavy fighting up north by the airport.. Oh toejam that's were your unit is stationed!.. better jump into your humbve and haul bellybutton back to base!.

Another part of a fun campaign.. a love interest..

Your unit is billeted at a local families home. There's a cute girl there. After dinner she needs help carrying a bucket of water. The command menu pops up.. pick up bucket. You pick up bucket. Now follow girl.
Another cut scene here where she talks about how hard this war has been for her family etc. Next mission, your at an observation post with your unit.. The war is always in the distance.. an occasional roar or light flash.. Next mission your at your station at a crossroad checkpoint.. Here comes "Jenna", she's got a fruit basket/fresh bread... ahhh she likes you. The next cut scene we see them holding hands walking into the sunset.. the scene fades.. coz... this is a PC war sim.

There's a battlefield wedding.

When the Russians attack in ernest, there's mass confussion. Civilians are trying to get a flight out. Your unit is preparing to evacuate. But wait! you have personal business. You run into the grandfather at the airport... Where's Jenna?.. She stayed to help her grandmother.

See now you've added conflict here. On the one hand, you could get charged w/ AWOL.. On the other.. your brand new wife could get killed... or worse.

What to do?

I don't know... I just trippin'... hehehehe

10B,

havnt uploaded any missions to any sites yet, I'm still in the process of finishing all of em.   ;)

Lessee now, done loads so far......concentrated on timing and waypoints to get the battle scenes right, havnt done any intro's or briefing yet but it's in the works.

Got one absolutely huge mission almost done.  It's set on Everon, all of Everon.  The whole island is completely populated with civilians and road traffic.  There's a NATO airbase in the north and a few small outposts at various points around the island.   What NATO doesnt know is a few Russian troops have landed and are under orders to go blow stuff up......

Havnt decided what side to start the player on yet......

Another one I've done is on the desert island.......the russians have small force encamped on a hill on the south side of the island.  US troops land on the north side (120 men and 2 M60s).   For this one I've done cutscenes and other little niceties.  Got an intro all planned out, just gotta do it.  Also figured out how to extend the max view distance, set it to 1200 meters (double) so far and it looks great with not much effect on FPS.  1200 yard sniper kills anyone?

You start as a russian officer sat on a sand dune with some binocs, all of a sudden "Zulu's, thousands of em!"

Special forces move forward to hold em off and a distress call goes out to home base (cue cutscene showing reinforcements loading up and leaving).  All ya gotta do is hold off the horde until reinforcements arrive.

Anyway,  send me the link to the PBO files for the campaign will ya.....I'd like to see those.
