"newer" doesn't always mean "better"..specially with AH2.  Check with Skuzmeister before ya decide to use it on your given ATI model.
(P.S.- Im not saying you didn't already know that.  Its just the first impression I got in my head that a select few would end up getting it in hopes it would make AH2 better, when in fact, it just may cause probs)

Your correct, some may find this new Drv. not performing, due to older cards etc. I have found the Omega drivers far superior than the ATI submitted drivers.
What works for some etc., etc.
To me it improved quality & pergormance.

ATI 9800Pro/ 3.0 GHz/1GiG mem.

omega drivers are just factory drivers with all the bells and whistles turned on, i've never been happy with any i've tried(sapphire ati 9600xt)

I disagree, the improvements are great, the vid card model is important.
The mods on OMEGA have improved the performance, many would attest to that.
