Tanks disappearing

I've been noticing a strange thing in tank town, most specifically with a couple of the same players.  As soon as I start shooting at them, usually after I hit them once or twice they disappear, I figure they disco'd or something.  About 10 minutes later I will get an assist or kill on that individual, when someone else finishes them off.  Other people are claiming the same miraculous scenario occuring to them from the same players.  Now if this was a internet connection issue such as a storm wouldn't this happen all of the time not just when being fired on.  So I proceeded to check a few of these guys stats out hmmmmmmmm....... no disco's, interesting.

I've asked a few other players about this and they have stated that is the affect you get by jiggling your connection cord.  Is this true?

This has been going on for about a month now, mostly from the rooks side.  I'm starting to notice this happening with more and more guys all from the rooks country.  Is this to be seen as just part of the game and I should start flying with my internet cord wrapped around my left hand at all times just in case I might get shot at.

What is the best way of dealing with this frustrating issue:
1.  Do it yourself to even the playing field
2.  Ignore it
3.  Post the name of all of the people doing it, basically call them out for being the cheesballs they are.

Some of these guys are top ranked guys hmmmmmm......., starting to understand why rank is considered worthless.  Most of these high ranked characters are gamers.

I could film it and send it to HT, but i'm not sure they can do anything about it.  In your oppinion what do you think they would do about it.  I'm assuming that without there being a witness standing over the persons shoulder catching them red-handed the players can claim whatever they want.

Please correct me if I'm wrong Karnak but this has been happening with the planes for some time, and still does to this day.  So HT can't really control this issue, please explain if they can, or I'm missing something.

The only way to control gamers is social rejection by the masses.  Just being accused of such activity will usually result in that player quiting, starting a new account, or face being kicked out of the squad they call home.  For most squads don't want any such "guilty by association" coming back on the group.

Based on that I don't believe that HT can fix this I'm using the next best method.  So I'm posting about it to find out what other people think, and whether what i'm being told is true.  Whether I'm alone on this issue or whether others have the same feelings.  It's not like I've named names..................yet.

I've never seen a plane do that and I have seen the effect of a disconnect.

If somebody is doing it intentionally then HTC can take actions to close the loophole and get rid of the people doing it.  If it is a bug, the more evidence of it that they have the easier it will be for them to fix it.

Not trying to be a difficult, But do you believe that HT will close 6-8 accounts=$90 to $120 a month based on my video?  Knowing darn well that they can sign up a new account under a different hotmail account, and just start up again with the same tactics, seems like kind of a waste of time for them to even try to stop it.  I mean if they are willing to jiggle the cord to get an advantage they aren't going to just go "oh well ya caught me, i guess I can't play anymore"

Given I will start recording this, just in case it is a bug within the game.  I have no problems trying to help support positive enhancements to the game code.

But I have been looking into this for more than a month, before I posted about it.  This didn't just happen last night and I'm venting over it today.  But in regards to every tid bit of info I've gotten all fingers are pointing at gaming/cheating whatever you want to call it.

If the video reveals cheating I have no doubt whatsoever that HiTech will close those accounts.  The ability to play in a cheat free environment is worth far, far more than $150.00/month to their business.

I sent in one bug report on this - my tank ended up INSIDE a mountain underneath a destroyed shore battery.  I could see out clearly, and shoot out, but could not get out of the area and could not be seen by others (they saw the mountain).

It was weird, and completely the PROGRAMMERS fault (since we do software here at my company, I know a bug when I see it  It isn't a big deal, and like all SW bugs, they get squished eventually.  

I'm hoping that what you are seeing is more of that and not really somebody so incredibly lame that they need to cheat in an online game....

First of all. Listening to gossip mill in AH is sad. So many get on 200 and say I know so&so got caught cheating HTC said they banned. Or sos and so jiggles cord. Even this this has been proven to be a URBAN ledgend.



  I had Redge from Knights shooot down my bombers  and he doesn't show up as i'm dying nor on film does it say he's anywhere near me. I made stupid remark to him of " You Used that on wrong Person I film every sortie" I wa ssure it was a cloaking code Same as 1 I caught guy using in AH1. Well I sent film to Skuzzy found out they had bug. So I was totally wrong had to go say i'm sorry. But i'm thankful I didn't come onto BBS  and blast him and post film   before HTC say film.




  Been here long time only saw what I thought were two cheats and only one was cheating and that was long ago. Guy   CLOAK  who really was cheating could cloak on demand, But he didn't even try to hide fact he was cheating. He even told Skuzzy how he was doing it before he cot booted.





  Lastly When ever you get lots of players in small area funny things happen its the nature of internet gaming. I've seen  tanks in tt from all sides do strange things I do  not whine about. Fly all 3 sides during tt up you'll see these things happen to all sides.





 And to think a guy who's going for rank is using a cheat code in tt doesn't make sense. you don't go to tt to build rank its totally for fun.

Rod367th-  My info is not based on the gossip ring, i'm not hearing this from someone else and now complaining cause someone told me about it.  I have experienced it myself, two of my squadies, and about 6 other players who are not flash's in the pan all of which have been playing for over a year.  We don't call people cheaters cause we die, we call out things that we see that obviously should not be happening.

I had 2 of my squadies claiming that the same 2 guys I was catching doing this was doing it to them too.  Then had another person not more than 5 minutes later yelling about it on the f12 channel.  I asked a few other players on the f12 channel about it and some of them said that this is an affect you get from jiggling cord, maybe true maybe not.  So I posted here on the subject, cause most of the posters on this forum are the hardcore players, or have played for a long time and would have a better idea about this.

This same thing happened again last night by one of the same players again, not to me but I heard them blowing up on the f12 channel about it, and once again it was the same guilty party.  "I'm shooting at him, and then he disappers but he is still shootin at me, this is bull crap."

So for those of you who think that this is another rant cause I died, need not post on this thread.  This isn't about dying this is about fair play, it is happening still and it only when they get shot at.  If you are going to call out, that my info as gossip, or not true, fly bish go to tank island go against the rooks tonight and see it for yourself.

At least I would give you the benefit of the doubt and go try to experience what you are experiencing before I would call bull on it, or call it gossip.

bust his balls on 200..sending film wont do squat...and rod have you seen the film of the dissapearing tempest? I forgot who it was..on the same note  I personally fought a tempest for 2 minutes and when i cought him at the top of a bad loop he suddenly blinked off, then went down through the water and reappeared 2.2k away before i could find him..i have film and it shows the same thing except in the film he just warps 2.2k away..it doesnt show any moves in between. As for gvs its so buggy its impossible to say who is doing what.

As I was reading Jmfj's post I thought; good someone is addressing the issue about the recent rash of suspicious dissappearing Tanks in the Ma.
I was suprised to see that the complaint was directed more toward Rook players though!!

I can assure you that the rook country channel is flooded with the same complaints regarding other countrys top G.V' ers dissappearing, slow to register on a kill etc..

Numerous Rooks have indicated that they are filming the apparent Bug and intend to send them to htech. we should probably give some slack to these suspected unnamed players until hitech can look into the problem.

You never know, you may be on camera too!
