Forcefeedback Sticks or No?

What do you like if you do?  If you don't use ffb, what do you like?

That is a personal preference thing IMO.
Yes it can add immersion. Its also one more thing to go wrong.

Have a pair of MS sidewinder Prec 2's here, got the second one on ebay for 28$ with shipping.

I do know the guys with MS FF sticks seem to love em.

i have a micro ff but i turnrd the feedback off only so often i use that part ive went threw 3  micro 2s bought second one on ebay also think was 20 bucks feedbacks are a great opstion if up want it.

Personally love the FF2 by microsoft.  had it for a couple years now and wouldnt fly with anything else.  I also have 2 MSSidewinder 2's laying around for backups.

one glitch....sometimes if the conditions are just not quite right, I get the floppy rapid side to side slamming of the stick.  Usually just let go or muscle through it.   Happens once or twice a night.

im still useing the thrustmaster afterburner ffb, and its still working great after a year......

ive always liked the ffb because it gives me a feel of the aircraft that witout i would be lost.

FYI I saw several Sidewinder FFB sticks on ebay yesterday, pretty reasonably priced actually.

I found an older Saitek Rumble force and I really like it. If you're in a fast steep climb, for ex, push forward on the stick to gain speed and it pushes back with moderate force, then bleeds off as the thing slows.. you get a feel for whats taking place on the screen.

Most of the time my game sounds are low and I'm blasting MP3's, if I miss a ck6 or some dude starts shooting, the stick shakes with each impact.... same goes for a regular twist-fest, you can feel the hits and after time get a sense for when the planetoon is going to quit.

By far the best benefit imo is when you're missing parts, you can move ye stick into the best spot and hold it there by feel.

Really tho, you gotta try it yourself..

Had the old CH FX stick here and swore I wouldn't get a regular stick. Course CH stopped making them and didn't want to try any other version. Not to mention when I got my old analog CH hotas setup working with WinXp ffb wasn't available. I've now grown used to not having it and don't miss it too much really.

I agree it being a personal preference issue now.
