Don't post too often on Forums. so please bear with me.

Tonight I flew a bomber mission into Rook HQ this evening and nailed HQ (Salvo 12, delay .05) main building. ALL 36 500lbs hit target dead on.

Got a 163 kill on the way home and landed my B17 at a friendly base.

Was rewarded with the grand total of 1.47 perk points for ALL my efforts. People.....I have farted in my Spitfire and been awarded more points. Gawd. {Best Napoleon Dynamite impersonation)

I know...I know.....just perk points but common............If you are going to dedicated 2 hours of your evening to infiltrating enemy territory, hitting Headquarters and making it back home with a fighter kill............ 1.47 perks shows that something is definitely wrong with the system.

Attack a target you can actually destroy such as cities, factory complexes and towns. Also use a bomber with a higher OBJ value such as a Ju88A-4 or Ki-67.

No it doesn't, it just shows that you don't fully understand the system. All you got points for were some AA guns and the Me163.

You dont fly to the HQ expecting perk points. You fly to the HQ expecting to get jumped by a million 163's with only a shed of hope you might actually destroy the HQ building and knock the radar out for that country. If you want perk points, try bombing strats or towns at the bases.

Also you dont get perk points for giving something damage, you only get the points if you destroy something.

I know about hitting strats and the rewards.

Just thought that a HQ run should be more than 1.47 perks. After all, not a easy task to get deep into enemy territory, hit your traget, defend your bombers on the way in and out and manage to land after all that has taken place.

I am not point hungry....don't get me wrong. I just would have expected something more.

The thing is that with only one formation, even of Lancs, you can't destroy the HQ. In order to get the points you need to destroy the target object. If you destroy the HQ I bet you get some nice points, but only one pilot on a big raid will do that.

But yes as a bomber lover I would love to have some better things to drop bombs on.
I also miss the days of being able to sneak into an HQ and take at least part of it down I don't understand why this was changed... I'm guessing it had something to do with not being able to resup the HQ untill it was all down but I think they should have fixed the resup problem rather than screwing up the damage to the HQ.

Really it feels like the more they mess with the game the more gamey they make it. Just my opinnion.

Good thing you talked about the worthlessness of hitting the HQ, I was planning on taking a run over there sometime. Now I won't.

I seem to remember some "other game" that gave you MASSIVE rewards for bombing the Spit Factory of an opposing side. Something on the order of 100k points for a successful run. The fact that there is nothing besides the AR-234 to use those perks for anyway, it's unlikely that values of the HQ will increase. Not that the increased points wouldn't matter to some (mostly the newer people, because who really wants to fly that long when there's fighter combat out there?) but I'd sure like to take up a flight of B-17s or B-24s and drop some hate.

I, personally, fear the day when you're rewarded grandly for hitting a huge, unmistakable building with no way of defending itself.

Call me crazy, but I think blinding an entire country, no matter how large, by blowing up a single building is ****ing crazy. You certainly don't need to get a ****load of perks on top of that, or there'd be nothing but wave after wave of bombers going to hq.

Oh come on hub in most maps the HQ is wayyyy back behind NMY lines so it takes a real effort to get enough ord to it to kill it. To you it would look like a buffet of slow moving meet for you to hunt down and kill.

Besides wasn't that one of the major aspects of WW2?? Large flights of bombers trying to destryoy something important of the NMY's befor being intersepted?

I'm not saying that the points should be upped for the HQ but I would like some more important targets for us bomber guys to hit.

Or make the current factorys worth more IE when bombed they stay down for a longer amount of time.

I think if the factories had a more major effect on game play people might attack and defend them more, not just for score. Just a thought.

Personally, I don't really care what purpose the target serves, but the HQ is a big beefy target, and great fun to hit!
I really don't mind if it doesn't really do much when it gets destroyed, but the thrill of doing it is rewarding enough!

I say put in more targets for buffs with realistic ack. Then see how well those formations of three buffs fare on lone wolf missions. It might just change how people cooperate and attack things to begin with.

Nothing is more fun to see a group go out on a determined raid with numerous buff boxes and escort, as I set up my intercept. Lotsa fun there, and something the game sorely lacks.

I'm in agreement for a revised strat system with relevant targets other than a single target that blinds 100 bases instantly. I'd be perfectly fine with higher perks for relevant targets, larger factories, cities, etc. I guess I just don't like the HQ/radar setup, at present.
