What difference does skin color make to an athlete holding or breaking records?

I don't understand why people can't just enjoy the records for what they are.....an extraordinary achievement of athletic ability.

Only problem with what the Greek Said is he was right.
And it wasnt made as a derogatory Racist statement and the players all knew that.
It was the media that blew it out of proportion

Simple. There just aren't as many white guys playing WR today as there was 25 years ago.  I figured that statement would draw out a few apologists...anyway, it has to do with the number of white guys playing today compared to yesteryear.  Its my opinion that blacks work harder in sports, during the offseason, during the season, then white guys do. We're from the couch potato legacy and the 64% of America being overweight proves it.

If that's so explain the race discrepancy for the position of Tight End.

You can't make broad generalizations unless you apply it to everything.

Yes I can.  I didn't make a broad generalization. I specified WR position.

I'm must over-simplify things then.....an athlete is an athlete to me.

Of course, I serve in a position of responsibility that has taught me that you look at the person (and it's not just skin color, since I interact on a global basis, across cultures).  Folks, and maybe you fall into this category (I don't know), who aren't in those type of responsible positions usually can't or won't grasp that simple concept.

Oh, and I'm sure you didn't accuse me of being an apologist did you.

Back on topic..................

I'm rooting for the KC this weekend to beat NYG.

Cowboys will be in pretty good shape then when they beat the Skins.

My Picks. Week 15.

Tampa Bay over New England.
New York Giants over Kansas City.
Denver over Buffalo.
Houston over Arizona.
Pittsburgh over Minnesota.
Tennessee over Seattle.
Carolina over New Orleans.
Miami over New York Jets.
St Louis over Philly.
Detroit over the Bungals.
Cleveland over Oakland.
Washington over Dallas.
Atlanta over Chicago.
Green Bay over Baltimore.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
