Putt Putt Marue
« on: December 17, 2005, 07:25:57 AM »
First off, I need to get a hold of SaVaGe.  He said back on 2-2-2005 he was going to be working on this aircraft.  It was on the thread of Next Project, starter of Kev367th:

"That looks like a tough one. I'm not having much luck myself. I think I need better software, but it ain't in the budget.

Most of what I was looking at doing you guys are already doing better than I could. I'm still looking at Robin Olds' "Scat", Art Heiden's "Lucky Lady", and Mac MacDonald's "Putt Putt Maru". There's some stuff from the Headhunters I looked at as well, I have a painting a friend gave me (Sweet Sue), and I know Ken Lloyd, he flew with the Headhunters, he's trying to hook me up with the pilot of "Sweet Sue". "

If he is not working on it now, I would like to get permission on starting the project within the next 24 hours, so if anyone can get in touch with SaVaGe, please tell him to visit this thread.

The "Putt Putt Maru" was flown by Charles Henery MacDonald, the third ranking ace in the Pacific theater.  He was assigned to the 475th FG, 431FS in  Dobodura, New Guinea.  He earned 27 confirmed kills and had the rank of Colonel.

My friend Rocky went to a air show and took some pictures of the aircraft and emailed them to me and asked if I would paint the aircraft.  As soon as I hear from SaVaGe, I will start on the aircraft.
