Smidsy,

Are you going to next post a thread extoling the virtues of the merchant seamen, passengers and so on that died as a result of those German U boats?
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

no, next thread is dedicated to the men of the US destroyer fleet. but i will do merchants after that (i will include merchants of all sides.) this is the first in a series of threads to put a human face on axis and allied forces alike.

Post the pictures in your home.   WE do NOT need to reminded of these.

Smidsy the problem with this thread is that you did not add more pictures from the allied/soviet side. Now people see this as pro-nazi comemoration.
Of all the "Werhrmacht" (Armed Forces) branch, the Luftwaffe is getting the most fanfare... thanks to WWII flight sim games :)

i see your point. my idea was to humanize people who are generally seen as villans. but i suppose i could curve the thread. unfortunately, google has failed me on this. so if you can find any good photos of american, brittish, french, italian, japanese, etc. submarine crews then please post them.
