They often say that no news is good news but the old chinese proverbs states No wind, no waves.

So, how about a wave or some movement on what's happening?  What goin on? New developments on ToD? New crafts? New car? New things at HTC?

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but we have already beaten the news question to death over in the ToD forum, all the way back since :O OCTOBER :O

HiTech himself called me belligerent for the multiple inquiries, and then posted a (If I may say so without breaking Rule #5) smart-arsed news comment that said nothing of any substance.

News.... there will be NO news and you will all like it!

Whats the problem?  A few days ago we were blessed with...

"Work continues on TOD as outlined. - HiTech"

...and still some of you complain?  Krist on a pogo-stick I swear some of you are never satisfied and you wouldn't have an ounce of gratitude even if it came in a ketchup squeeze bottle priced at .99 a quart!

I personally printed that news release in it's entirety. I feel humbled and most fortunate to be allowed to read just a little bit of it each time I head off to the old John hopper every morning.... late morning, after lunch and mid afternoon too!

Midnight: Could it possibly be that what I posted is precisly what is happening. And that the things you wish posted are of no more excitement then.

1. DB disgned written and fairlywell debuged.
2. GUI outlined and working.
3. Message system design fairly complete and implemented.
3. AI planes take off, still don't land for poop.

I.E. nothing that is exciting, or inother words.

Work continues as outlined.

And it wasn't a smart remark, it is the way things realy are.

You wish to know details of how things work. well the truth of the mater is all those detail dissicions that a player sees  typicly come last, so we are left with tons of boring work that we pound on every day, nothing people are typicly intrested in,unless you realy wish to know the 3 days work of plotting ai turn radius and control system around 2 vectors.

so I.E. no NEW NEWS.
When we have stuff exciting to post we will.

P.S.
We did blow off a dry ice bomb today.

Proof I'm a dweeb: those things actually are exciting. I'm a bit confused on item #3, though. What's "landing"?

Well... Believe it or not, that kind of stuff is news to us that have been waiting all this time for ToD. Don't get me wrong, HiTech, I sincerely do appreciate your efforts in making ToD, and I also understand how it is more of a headache when your customers want to know when the new software will be ready. (I program industrial controls for process equipment and always have customers asking me "when" code will be completed so they can run their machines.)

It's just good to know that we're still a ways off from seeing ToD, even though I still would like to see some more "stuff" to talk about over in the ToD forum.

Oh well... Happy Holidays HiTech and Company! Thanks for the efforts!
