Penguin pictures

I passed through the Falkland Islands a month ago and was lucky enough to get to one of the large King/Gentoo Penguin colonies for the day.  It started off a little damp (see: absolutely lashing it down) but thankfully the last half an hour I spent there the sun came out and I got some shots I am actually quite proud of.

Before I left I bought some decent ISO100 Fuji Reala and I have to say the improvement in picture quality over what I have been using previously is very apparent.  I'm glad I bought 10 rolls of the stuff!

Anyway. Here ya go, the scans don't do the original prints justice as always with these things.

Very beautiful creatures indeed.

Might I commend you on the wonderful pictures as well, you seem to be a very accomplished photographer! I hope you're getting paid for your talent in some way. I work with a woman who does it as a hobby, there is a place near me full of Red Tailed Hawks and during the right time of year, numerous Bald Eagles. She gets some great shots of these majestic birds of prey, although I must say your work is much better than hers.
