Ok!! too much doom and gloom!!! fun time!! ;)
« on: July 19, 2001, 11:11:00 AM »
Ok, a simple and pointless, yet amusing exercise...  Take a song title, and make it an AH song!   ;)  (ok, it's dumb, but we always had fun with it on other game BBS's)

Somebody to Vulch - Somebody to Love, by Queen.  "can anybody find me somebody to vulch..."

:p  yes, I am listening to it, and it just popped into my head.

(gonna show my age here)

This one is inspired by those many times when I've been flying along and have looked down to see a bad guy, followed by a good guy, followed by a bad guy, followed by a good guy, followed by a bad guy, and I sing this song as I dive in to add yet another link to the "Chain, chain, chain ... chain of fools!" (Aretha Franklin, I think).

Rip, Queen did some great music and I don't think that the thing you are referring to had anything to do with Mercury's ability to make music so who cares? No offence, but wasn't too funny. And for those who were thinking of posting funny remarks about my sexual preference...I'm straight as hell so no joy...

I think he thought you were slamming Freddie Mecury's ability to sing based on the late artist's sexual preferences.  I don't see how you were doing so, Rip, as all of Queen's members are (were) British and not Texans.  Personally, I think Rip was well within bounds with his post; after all, Full Metal Jacket taught us that only steers and queers come from Texas!!! (well, that's the first place I remember hearing that quote!)

DOH!! Haven't been my day   :(. And this just confirms it...I just thought that with that "gay joke" you made fun of Queen/Freddie Mercury...and as the guy is already dead I didn't think it as funny. Sorry Rip, I should have known as your jokes have always been within good taste that you didn't meant it the way I understood it this time either. I'm sorry Rip. My bad. Ok now I'll remove my stupid presense from this thread...sorry again and carry on.   :o   :(

Heh, no problem, glad someone spelled it out for me, my joke was referencing Cowboys sticking their noses in the butts of cows..old joke...Gays?   Work with them, they don't bother me, I don't bother them, we like it that way...I don't tell them about my ventures with the wife the previous night, and they don't tell me about their ventures with their significant others.  Peace, Harmony.  <Dammit, dropped my pencil >>Looks behind himself, bends over cautiously<<

NEGATIVE!  It was Officer and a Gentleman...Lou Gossett Jr. says it as they get off the bus.

I didn't think Rip was out of line...but I heard the joke differently:
