I Got the new Springfield Armory M1A today.

I Got the new Springfield Armory M1A today.

Went down to the store and picked it up with a spare Ten round magazine(can’t buy 20 rounders in Cali, and they only had one 10 rounder in stock).

Here are a few picks.

The dog is curious.

Still sniffing away, prolly thinks it’s a big chew toy!

Even the dog knows to check the action for a round.

Sites.

You may be able to see a few dings in the stock, but that’s ok I think I want to put on a laminated stock on it. Plus it will get dinged up anyway shooting it.

I am going to take it to the range Tuesday. Probably Chabot gun club in the Hayward Hills.

I bought some South African locally, 240 rounds; stuff looks nice, clean and new.

I ordered some “new” .308 from Ammo man and was not sure when it would get here, and it is ok, some rounds do not look new. Might be older brass since the Bullets look fine and only the brass is not new looking.

Busy week for me since Weds I am going to be hitting Hollister Hills in the Jeep a friend and a bunch of guys from the Northern California Xterra club.

Merry Christmas guys!

Interesting photos.
You hang your T-shirts on coathangars, suggesting you are a very fastidious and neat person, yet you let your dog sleep on the bed :) Thats cool.

What is the AR-15 type weapon to the right in the bottom pic, and why does it have a red ring on the flash suppressor? Replica/toy?  seems awfull short if it's butt is at the same level as the M1a.

What is the duct taped hose going into the wall? PC cooling system?Beer tube from fridge to desk?
Nutrient feed/ventilation for the 'indoor garden'?

LOL, sorry man, I cant help it, I see a pic someone posts of their house, car, PC, room, dog etc and check out the little things to see how the little things in the background of your life compare to the same things in mine.

Nice rifle, very nice.
Cool lookin mutt too, betya its a sook :)

Merry Christmas btw.

GTO, nice weapon, I hope you enjoy shooting it.

The ammo you got, it might not look pretty if it is milsurp, they do not bother tumbling it to look nice after making it, so dont let that bother you.  Even if it looks a little "heat treated" around the end of the case, that is normal.

The South African should be fine ammo.  What is the headstamp on the other stuff?

LoL I hang the shirts cause I have not room anywhere else. The dog does not know she is a dog so she would not understand sleeping on the floor! :)

This is a better shot of the AR-15 thing.

Its a Tokyo Mauri M4 Soft air gun. Looks just like the real thing but as soon as you pick it up you know its fake. It is not light but flexes to much because its mostly plastic.

It shoots little 6MM BBs, its fun inside of 25 yards, but not very accurate.

The hose thing, is the hot air tube for a free standing AC unit. I just have not got around to putting it in storage.

I new someone was going to comment on the background stuff.

Most prolly won't be nice lol.

Dago,
I am sure going to love it.

I love shooting my M1, I put 300 rounds through it in a few hours once, recoil on it does not bother me at all.

The south african looks perfect, I think I will buy more.

The other stuff looks a bit rough but I am sure it is fine, it looks better then the greek crap I have shot in the Garand before.

headstamp LC 02  and a very small circle with " in the circle. The cicle is like picture fram nail head size.

LC is probably Lake City,  USA made and good stuff.  There is another LC headstamp, it is ammo made in Hungary, but slim chance that is what you have.

yeah you might like the socom one better, it only has the one rail like this one has but the shorter barrel and a tritium front site like the socom 2

Why did you have to hide the Fals?

I hope you drew a map.

It can save some digging if you forget exactly where you've put em.

Barrell seems about 2 inches short on the 14. It is suppose to look like a M14 right?
