Duel Accounts
« on: December 29, 2005, 01:04:36 PM »
I know this dog has been beaten before but, of course I gotta bring it back up. I personally dont care if someone has 2 or 3 accounts it's their money and HTC's profit. The problem arises when people use these accounts to spy and stalemate the whole arena. I know it's very difficult to prove such actions but when you launch 3 or 4 seperate missions and each one gets busted  before you even get there one has to think such spying is going on. So, what I was thinking was if there was someway for people with multiple accounts to be restricted to fly for one country only, thus eliminating an account in every country. Just wondering?

There were "spies" in the real war. Just think of it as added realism. And get a life.

I run 3 accounts. Unfortunately, one of them is a double agent, but I don't know which one. Since they're both spies, (even though one is ostensibly serving my better interests, albeit for financial rewards), I don't know which one I can trust, and which one is plotting my untimely demise.

I was extremely proud of myself for having devised such a clever network at first. I had initially thought this would provide me with an unprecedented amount of information, and insight into what the other countries are doing. Instead, it's just made me tremendously paranoid. :noid

lol hub.

What you guys running missions dont get sometimes is that people watch for a full sector of dar to pop up. When I see this, I drop what I am doing as soon as I can and grab something fast to go check it out.

Chances are, that if there is s full sector of dar, several bases beyond the front lines, there is going to be a mission of some sort there.

I know about the dar bar and the possiblity of someone saw you up. Most of the missions we run are noe and dont present a dar bar. As for possibility of being seen we don't up from a flashing base and are real careful about our approach. I know to expect maybe 1 or 2 people to check out a field thats flashing thats to be expected. It's when there's 10 osti's there waiting or when 1 guy ups and goes straight for the goon. You can run a couple of missions when this happens and say ok, bad timing or bad luck but  3 or 4 missions with the same results then you gotta start thinking about other things.

Your right wetrat, in real war there are spies and when found were promptly executed. I don't think HTC will "execute" anyone for spying so, nice try!

you do realise that there are squads that do just that.

back when i was a JB we spent almost a year on base defense only. if we saw a raid or possible raid on dar IB we'd auger, go there, up a dora and WEP NOE to to goon. knowing the MA mentality, and the map layouts, it is quite easy to guesstimate where the goon is comming from.

sometimes we'd have someone go suicidal as a spotter for the goon.

best way to stop a raid is kill the goon.

also, announce "huge raid IB XXX" on country, and alot of times people would up osties.

i can almost garuntee you 90% of supposed "spying" is just awareness by your enemy

When I see a mission inbound to a base, and I know which base they're very likely going to hit, I make it a point to announce (more than once) on country channel that there is infact a mission otw to a given field. Its then that people start rolling GV's and fighters to protect the base. Deffence sucks when you want to win the war dont it? :)

Yep
I knew that, if there is a hub up and he is killing peeps with ease

its the spy

if there is a hub up and he is a jerk, he is a spy

if there is a hub up and he is polite, quiet, offers to take newbs to the ta,

its a hacker who stole the account
