I like the Cyborg Evo myself. I had a TON of problems with the X45, but it seems that it was just my computer hardware sucking the life out of them. The throttle slider has a nice resistance so you can set exact settings and the such but responds to inertia enough that you can slam it to full or idle easily enough. The spring is about the same as the X45's, but the plate it attaches to is much smaller, making it easier to move the stick. X45s have a small "dead spot" where the spring plate has to be tugged a little bit to continue moving, which results in a pretty pronounced nose bounce there. The Evo is also free of that dang rubber thing under the spring plate, meaning less you have to wrestle with. The Evo is adjustable with 4 hand sizes and can be easily switched from a left hander to a right hander.
Though many people don't seem to know, the Evo also comes wireless. This version take 1 AA battery and has a very good connection in areas of low or no interference from other 2.4GHz devices. It has a twitch now and then, but has a button that can force it to search within the frequency for a better connection. If you're not one to worry about a tiny nosebounce or replacing a AA after ~50 hours (in use; it has an auto-off feature) I'd reccomend it to get away from the wires. I got it so that less can go wrong with it, seeing as my old compy used to shock X45s to death. The Wireless one also puts less stress on the PSU, seeing as the stick itself is powered by the AA battery.
One thing that I have noticed is the knobs used to adjust the angle of the thumb buttons corrode after a month or two. They still work just fine, but they look like they came off the USS Saratoga.
