Lothars Sohn, Wolf-Manfred Freiherr von Richthofen, diente als Offizier im Zweiten Weltkrieg. Später unterhielt er eine Importfirma. Er hat zwei Kinder.

Looks like he had a son and he has 2 children and owned a import company.

What do want to know about them?

He was married to Countess (Dorris IIRC) Keyserling[k] and had a son and a daughter. Last I heard his son (Wolf-Manfred born in '22) was living in Sweden and still alive, the daughter having passed some years ago.

Ok, please dont laugh.  I work with a guy that claims to be his great great grandson.  He claims his grandfather changed his las name to Baron when he came to the United States.

He did not offer this information.  I asked questions in a way that he gave answers.  He did not know that Lothar was Manfred's brother.  All he knew was that Lothar was a pilot in WWI.  This guy knows nothing about airplanes, or at least did not before he met me.

This all started when I saw a 220 cont radial engine on his dad's airboat!  The engine came off his dad's Stearman as a crop duster.  The fuselage was choped up and made into a 1940s style dragster, which he still has.  Other parts have long been trashed.

Growing up all he knew was hotrods.  His dad loves cars and has several vintage cars in his collection.  These people are not rich in any way...they are typical nice folks but are very private.  He also told me his dad had either Lothar's dogtags or his grandfathers dogtags from WWII, also a German transport pilot.

I am going to ask questions tuesday and see if I can get more names.

All I could find is that he was married and had a son and daughter.

Manfred von Richtofen's house is in Denver.  Well not really, it's just a big frickin mansion with a Fokker Triplane in the front yard,  7 foot fences all around, gated etc.  Supposedly all the appliances and plumbing are to WW1 standards, as if the Baron was living there.  Just an interesting factoid.

No but I can get some.  Not sure if I would actually call it a "mansion" but it's a pretty large house in a somewhat wealthy neighborhood.  If i can remember correctly there may be another plane in the yard as well.  I know the red Fokker is there and a Mercedes is in the driveway.

Manfred Von Richthofen once said:
"My brother is a butcher"
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)
