Been three weeks and it hasn't shown up at the designated place..

Any idea what I can do to get my MO or atleast money back?

Why would you send something out stolen?

Yep, ya gotta have the reciept or at the very least, the serial number. I sell Western Union MO's and they are very good about stopping payment even after the order has been cashed if you can PROVE it was stolen.

Go to the post office you purchased it from and explain what happened. They might be able to figure out by the amount and the day you bought it what the number is. Hopefully the clerk you purchased it from is working the window.

You don't want to steal and cash a postal money order

I had a very bad experience with the USPS money order crapola.
About 5 years after the guy I sent it to claimed he never got it, his brother
altered the MO and cashed it.  Since I had the original refunded, the Postal
tards came after me.

When I pointed out that the MO had obviously been altered had been changed> and not been cashed by me, it seemed unfair to hold
me responsible.  They replied it was still my responsibility and that if I did
not repay them, they would garnish my income tax refund.

To me, the USPS aided and abetted a thief.  They might have just
taken my $125 themselves.  Needless to say I wait patiently for the day

You had to pay it? You are right, they should have gone after the perpetrator, if you had proof you should have fought it in court.

Yeah, had to pay it.  Would have cost me more than it was worth to
fight it.
