Help needed :(

Got new pots, but ch fighterstick is still spiking. Poll interrupt is not enabled. Tried rewiring the stuff inside the joystick, but the spikes are still there.

Gameport is sb64 pci that used to work before. Oddly enough i get most spikes when I pull the joystick towards me and to the right - this has been consistant with all the pots I've tried. Have the latest drivers for my soundcard.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

 Had a similar problem with my old saitek cyborg stick. Finally tracked it down to a broken wire INSIDE the insulating jacket. Found it by using AHs joystick calibrating setup and tugging on the wires.
  When I touched the bad wire I could see it spike on screen.
