Got one of these for Christmas.

It was always one of things I saw on TV and looked interesting but figured they probably didnt work.

Takes a bit of shaking to get them working the first time but they work. and pretty damn well too!

Had a couple at work months ago. All in all, I was unimpressed. They're handy in an emergency, but they're slightly better than a Bic lighter, IMHO.

But Sandy, they work at all times....to keep your family safe. You can even use it when you walk your dog!

In all honesty, I thought they might be handy to have around in a pinch, but the commercials make them seem as if they're as good as a Mag Light. Not even close.

I was just baggin on the comercial and the idea that people need to be told how many ways they could use a flashlight.

Why not just say that it can be used to produce light? :D

Not only that, it can be used to exercise your right hand. You know... for that quality time spent with one's self. ;)

I had a hand-dynamo flash-light since I was a kid. You had to squeeze it to get light. What's new in "Faraday's light"? LED instead of light-bulb?
