Come to the training arena.

Hook up with a trainer.

You'll get all the training you can stand.

Currently i see lots of good trainers in training arena and on the board taking assignments.

When you want a trainer for h2h might be easier to find one in h2h forum. Or ask one of the better pilots in a room when you see that they might be of any help.

True, but nothing wrong with asking, me thinks.

Agreed Schatzi.

IMHO I think HTC sets itself apart from all the others in allowing/providing the H2H arena to exist. Fact is, it exists by way of a server which costs money to provide and update. The H2H arena also benefits directly from the updates and patches HTC provides the paying customer base. While I can appreciate the fact that some players may need more than the "two week free trial period" to evaluate the game and its learning curve, my responce as per having trainers provided to those folks such as duh, who clearly admit to being non-paying freeloaders, still stands as stated.

Schatzi you are and always have been a "class act". It's not my intention to take umbrage with your offer to provide help out of your generousity. I just happen to think that duh should pony-up the same $15 the rest of us do if he wants the benefit of a trainer.

Im not planning on becoming a H2H trainer of any sorts :). And another thing: I am not a trainer anyway..... just a fellow player that helps here and there, if i can.

But a friend from H2H asked if she could get some help/training and i said 'yes, why not!'. We can fight and i can give her some hints/tips hopefully. Thats all there is to it.

I agree on the fact that H2H players should always keep in mind that they 'benefit' from the paying player base and HTCs *FREE* providing of a service. To get the 'full box' (including the use of 'training facilities') youll have to pay.

The reason why i am asking for training is that i am soon going to pay for the game and don't want to get there unprepared.

I think that's one reason HTC allows the H2H rooms for free. After awhile some of the players will be wanting more. If they get a good taste of the game they may want to take the leap & try the MA

DUH come on in, the waters fine.

For one thing combat in H2H is vastly different than what you'll find in the Main.

You really need to balance some TA time, some Main time, and some time hitting reading theory. Like http://www.netaces.org or SimHQ or even Robert Shaws book on air combat.

You'll have a lot better idea of where you really need help for one thing.

"She"?? :huh "Her"???? :huh :huh    Duh is a "he"! Isn't he.. er.. it?

Don't disrespect the H2H, guys, as Woody stated it's the best way for HTC to gather future customers and keep them tied to the game! I've always known that eventually I would subscribe, since my free time in Main, back when I first download AH: H2H helped me in whiling the wait away and honing my skills till the great day.

Plus, when you're really sick of arenas, or if you have to suspend the subscription for a while, you can always come back to H2H and not lose contact with the community!
