Vehicles landing
« on: January 07, 2006, 06:58:37 PM »
would someone explain to me how the vehicle an tower button system works?

I thought to LAND SUCCESFULL you either had to be on your concrete or with no enemy cons within the area.

To get SHOT DOWN you had to either get shot down or tower an proxy goes to nearest enemy con.

to DITCH I don't quite understand.

I ask this because today a enemy turreted panzer was at our spawn point to the enemy base, and as I was lining up my shot ( was linded up around 12)  he towered, I did not get proxy nor did he ditch, but landed 2 victories................why?

(pardon my punctuation)

there are no rules.. a few guidelines but thats it...most longterm gvers no when and where they can punch out depending on the map..mostly by trial and error..

punch out on concrete at field while not moving

dont punch out to close to maproom at city

enemy spawn succesful landings largely depends on the map..in theory if you dont get pinged and no con within  icon range you will land...big if..

Im a gv dweeb. Trick to landing a gv is you dont. You fight until you run out of ammo. Then you complian for supplies. If they dont come then you drive aways from the battle and hope for the best. In the time it takes you to drive back to the base and land you could be racking up more kills. Tigers should only be used for base defense if your worried about perks. Dont leave the general area. When landing a tiger at a base best bet is to stop inside the hanger. When at a airfeild land as you would a plane.
