Yikes, landing it looked like a handful.

Thanks, Gh0st!

Fantastic.

... I wish my oldman had lived to see that. He hated the Merlin engined spanish things they passed off as 109s...

Wow!  Outstanding.  Thanks for sharing.

Is it me or was there extreme cross wind on landing?

Outstanding video! Thanks! Watching a real Gustav take off and land gives me a sense of how difficult it must be to keep everything under control. Those little narrow landing gear plus a grass strip....wow. That vid's a keeper!

Well its not like he was landing on a nice hard & smooth paved runway either. LOL

Second landing I thought he did pretty well

109s are much safer to land on grass than on paved runways because the grass is less stick which reduces the chance of a wheel locking up.

A group in Germany converted a Spanish 'Bouchon' (forgive spelling)to 190G standard , they used the parts from 25 different DB engines , first flight was august 2004 , it crashed on landing last year , it ground looped ripping of the engine and causing quite a bit of damage .No-one was hurt and they are currently rebuilding the 109...
U guy's in the states have a far more beautifull 109 though , the 109E owned by the guy from Microsoft.......now thats a plane!!!!   :aok
goggles on ,chocks away, last one backs a homo  hooraaaaaaaaay!
