What i noticed is that as the Yak is running away you didn't climb or gain any alt advantage and you were mainly on the defensive the entire film.

The reason why i say that is because if you climb slightly while they run away from you,it gives them the impression that you turned around and they turn around faster..I show you some respect for flying the Mark I,but.......You should leave it where it belongs in the special events scenario's and the combat theatre.

But that's just my opinion.

LoL, Ted, thanks for your respect. And i dont think the Hurri1 belongs solely to the SEA/AAA. It can hold its candle in the Main as well. Even me managed a K/D of 1.4 in it.... and im sure a better pilot can do a lot more in it.

As for climbing while the Yak was on its 'short extensions' (at no point in this fight was he running, he was just smart enough to stay outta range of my 303s), it wouldve slowed me considerably and left me vulnerable, i guess had Dano seen that hed have immediatly reversed and blasted me. I needed a minimum speed to keep my maneuverability.

And btw, i dont really consider my flying defensive, i was actively giving him my six, trying to sucker him close enough into my gun range to get a shot. Unfortunatly, i kept missing my resulting chances at gun solution.

Schatzi, Dano doesn't regularly read the boards, but I will be sure to pass along your kind words and make sure he pops in to check it out.

Batfink great fun your f6 vs. my 38 this morning!  Was the first hop right as I got on and what a way to start, even had to watch the film a couple times.

Work on that,do what i always did.Go into TA,tell brand new pilots you will be target for them, you practice scissors, rolling scissors, vertical scissors and gain experience while they gain experience in their gunnery. It is actually a pretty good system.

I did like the conversation with airmess though, him telling you thats a word in German, you could here the snicker in your voice.

:rofl

I'd be interested in testing your theory there, autopileit.
Hurri isnt gonna get much alt.against a yak unless you come in alot higher and hold E .And of course it's not unussual to get into a defensive mode in any plane.I'll be in the DA tonight around 2100 cst ,look me up,should prove to be informative.

:rofl  I just cant help but laugh at that one. :aok

With use of trim control it doesn't matter if it's a Yak or a 109,you don't climb straight up,it's a gradual climb.

Leave the Hurri MK 1 in the the SEA autopilot??????  Hogwash!  Myself and "Bagrat" a squaddie of flew the hurri mk1 is the MA for about 2 weeks straight and absoutley whiped everyone's ass!  No joke, we literally PWND LA7's, Spit 16's every flight!  I dont either of us lost to a 1 v 1 vs any other airframe except for maybe a 55eny zero, or another hurri mk 1...Only way we would go down is being cherry picked while on someones six (which is very easy to pick a hurri because they turn like a bat out of hell)....okay enuf ranting cav....long story short hurri mk1 with a good stick will pawn any airplane in AH...

CC on all that Cav....the Mk1 CAN be a killer, but a good pilot in the enemy plane makes life hard in it.

Oh yea and bagrat is a machine in those ground guns :)

Zorster it sure is a killer...Truth be told I think the hurri mk1 is the best airplane in the game to evade the enemy in most rolls...When a good stick is on the controls the airplane is impossible to BnZ, and turn fighting-forget about it....I have easily dodged 2, 3 even 4 guys at a time trying to kill me....The problem comes in when you at 500 feet in FT and you have 10 guys all after you! haha

Always laughed at guys who fly in hurr1, a6m2 and other slow turners. Especially when they start yelling what nobody turnfight with them.
