I have read several things that says Letterman is a commie. Of course I believe about 70% is true. Which would explain why he hasn't watched the O'reily factor but believes that alot of it is crap. Of course I never watch Letterman...who wants to listen to a bunch of commie crap.

Letterman chose to go for the cheap laughs and didn't even bother to try to be credible, knowing that it would be sufficient for the MT type of viewer.  It was cheap, like some frat boy in school surrounded by a group of his friends putting someone down for the way they look.  I was neutral on Letterman before, but now I know he is a lightweight.

Letterman must be pretty stupid indeed if he thought Bill wasn't going to mention the Christmas 'War'.

It seemed to me that Bill eased into it, letting Letterman deny the discussion or proceed and ask him why he had a Winter Soltice rather than Christmas. Letterman could of difused the whole situation by chuckling and changing the subject.

Letterman wanted the debate, its obvious...

Dave is comedy for the thinking man.

O' Reilly is news for those who want others to think for them.

I wonder who has more viewers?
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

Doesnt matter his sources. pointof the matter is he in his own words "read about" the show rather then saw for himself.

And anytime you read about something rather then witnissing it for yourself.
Reguardless the subject, you are at the mercy of the author and subject to the authors views and opinions rather then being able to form your own.

I've seen the OReilly show and seen him in interviews on other shows and I'd say that about 50% of what he says is indeed crap.
And I think the man is by and large an ass

I''ve also seen letterman on his show as well as in interviews on other shows and I'd say he also is full of crap about 50% of the time and is also by and large an ass.

But I am able to base my opinion on personal observations and not second hand through someone elses writings.

Agreed.
Unfortunaely Lettermans people probaly invited OReilly
and Letterman probably loved the idea thinking he would be able to easily slam Oreilly on National TV.

Downside is Letterman came off looking like an even bigger jerk then Oreilly. If thats  possible

Looked to me like he was pissed off about O'Reilly disrespecting Sheehan (true or perceived), and let it get to him.  He's probably kicking himself for acting like a retard.

Agreed.

I dont know why but
This reminds me of my Brother in law who called looking for my wife the other night and finding she wasnt home asked if my son had regestered for the draft yet.
Then he remembered he wouldnt be 18 till june.
so he says his son just turned 18 and had to register and reminded my that so would my son.
I was like. "yea I know"

His next line was classic idiot

"Yep thats our president for ya"

So I reminded him that its been that way for quite some time now and said
"I had to do it and so did you, or you were supposed to"

So he says "No I couldnt register I'm a convicted criminal"

I just couldnt resist.
"Well then I guess that there life of crime really paid off for you then huh"

Now why I laughed at that I have no Idea.......but that was funny to me for some reason. I might add that Vermont Maple Coffee doesn't taste as good in the nose as Coca Cola does when you laugh at the wrong time.

I wonder how much of the audience was induced by a "applause" light?

They did applaude for O'Reilley at the end
