It's not as good as you think?

The only reason for perking it as far as I can see is that it's real popular.

Short legs, short clip, average leathality, turns OK but not excellent, pretty fast, cockpit viz average.

Where's the threat? Pretty fast?

How about we perk everything that's "pretty fast"?

As many have pointed out in the uncountable "perk this, perk that" threads that have graced this board, perking something will only make the horde change to the next aircraft with a perceived advantage. That's what happened when they perked the -1C.

There's NEVER going to be an even distribution of players amongst aircraft types. There will ALWAYS be a few aircraft that are the most common in the MA.

Do you see many Spit 1's? P-40's? A6M2's?

There's NEVER going to be an average distribution. It's the way it is and always will be UNLESS HT decides he wants to change something, to introduce a mechanism that forces people into particular aircraft. An RPS would do that, for example.

HTC did the rolling plane set in warbirds, didnt work so well i hear.

IMHo i think he is going about this the right way, MA for the gamers, and Combat Tour for the simers who  enjoy flying any plane in a given scenario.  and the rest of the rooms for custom scenarios, seems like a good aproach.  Trying to please everyone in one place is a lost cause, hopefully there isnt the feud between the combat tour guys and the MAers, but lets face it, there already is tension between the gamers and simmers, always trying to make the other play their way, seporate em and let em do their own thing.

unfortunatly 85% of the MA is kills waiting to happen, thus they need the lala to compensate for their lack of skills.

If we perked the LA-7 we wouldn't have every jerk and their mommie pissin' and moanin' about it ... and think of all the fun we would miss in all these "Perk the LA-7" threads.

I haven't see an LA-7 that I couldn't kill with ease ... it's the ones that I can't see that I have a problem with ... but then again ... that applies to the whole plane set.

Yes - they are all in Spit16s now.  Well, not all, but a good majority.

We perk the lgay7, welp there goes most of my easy kills.  If the dweebfire16 perked, well there goes all my kills with those 2 planes perked.  These 2 planes are so much fun to kill as most people dont know how to fly them to their full potential.  :t

Those 2 planes alone make up for 85% of my kills.  Without them what would I kill.

However people may not know how to fly those planes to the fullest but even that they can be pretty lethal planes.  Hard to catch both of em.  Dweebfire 16 is hard to outturn many times unlike the lgay7 which is easy to outturn.  Guns on both are pretty lethal.  The only drawbacks are that they have bad visibiltiy and small ammo loads so just try to make them spray like crazy wasting all their ammo.

Those 2 planes just tick me off at times when start seeing many of them high and just BnZ you to death as they hold E pretty well and when they do start losing E they can recover it pretty easy and start turning tightly.  Just starts to get agrivating at times though when thats all you see and starts to get boring seeing maybe 2-4 gangbing 1 person at a time.  Itd be nice if so many people didnt fly them as they dont know how to fly anything else as the other planes are too challanging to fly.

That is false, look up the stats, there is just as many flying the La7 now as before the Spit16. Actually, more last camp. Most of the Spit16 jocks came from the 109s and the other Spit versions...
