What monitors? I have a Mitsubishi Diamondtron 19" which has served me well for 6 years. Bearing in mind what Skuzzy says about TFT's I was looking out for a 22" CRT. They are virtuallyimpossible to find and are massive and only in biege!

There are a lot of TFT 20" including widescreen. What does anyone else use and are TFT's as bad as people say for gaming?

Should I ust be happy with myDiamond-Pro?

Thanks:aok

lol, what a beast.

Do you need a stonking card? I have an X800XL but I could upgrade.

Do these monitors run games at lower resolution than native or is it really poor?

tft's are teh suck!!! I worked for Dell for 3 years and we replaced so many of those things it was pathetic! Get you a flat screen crt or a flat panel. If you get a flat panel get one with as low a response time particularlay under .12ms (lower is better) and with contrast ratio of 600:1 or more (higher is better). I have a sony 19" flat panel and its awesome!! I love it!!!

Sent my viewsonic LCD back and got a Viewsonic CRT G220Fb. There is no comparison between Crts and Lcds. Crts still are the best..........

Got an NEC 2070NX 20". Didn't see any point going from 19" CRT to 19" TFT even tho the  response is only 16ms. Iit looks great to me although I must agree, if it comes to the real fine points I think the old Diamondtron had a better picture.

Didn't want a widescreen, all the hassle with games you get.

There was no way I was having a 23" CRT sitting on my desk. I only have wooden, not concrete floors and they LOOK so old fashioned.

Aesthetics I guess.

Only trouble is its native 1600x1200 takes some horsepower in COD2. X1900 next

Thanks for the input

CRT's radiate, flicker, take space and are extremely heavy to move around.

Their only good side nowadays really is good color reproduction and low price.

I'm very happy with my notebook screen, a WXGA TFT LCD, one day I'll look up WTF WXGA is...

Oh wait, here's a nifty chart:

Looks like WXGA is some High Def wide screen bowlshizzle, does that mean I can get the High Def experience on my notebook...

I've had two TFTs in my life; one of which I'm using now. The first lasted me 7 and a half years.
