What they lacked was the NFL's top offense, an MVP, a Rushing Title winner, and the number 2 defense inside the 20 yard line that has the most sacks in the NFL this year. ;)

This isn't an overrated AFC team. :)

Either way, I wish your team luck in the Superbowl. I predict it will be a good one, and that one team wins! :)

Superstition is out of scope when speaking of talent such as the Seahawks have this year. :) My most nervous point of the season was that first playoff game...that monkey has been shed off the back, now its finishing the road into the history books. :aok

Edgerrin James?  He has one a rushing title and was up there again this year.
MVP?  who won it last year?
Defense?  did we forget the steelers have a defense?  that stopped the best offensive team in the stronger AFC?

Sacks?  once again...steelers have the LB with most sacks and the the two OLBs together teamed up for more sacks than any other OLBs tandem in NFL this year.

2 year QB?  sorry it didnt take our QB as many years to get here.

Im sorry, Seattle is going to have to worry about more than one WR in the SB.   They will have RBs, TE and the WR's to worry about , not just one Steve smith and a 4th string RB, with thier 24th(?) ranked pass defense.  It will be better matchup than you are trying to make it out to be.

I didnt even mention about the emotion the steelers are gonna have going into one of the all time great Steelers hometowns, probably the last game he will play in, and try to win the big one for him.  I understand the Seattle gonna have some emotion with them too, first SB ever?
It will be a decent game.

Again, we're talking this year.

Stronger overrated AFC? Best offense in football was in the NFC, sir. Seattle Seahawks. Check the stats.

Again, check the stats, who has the most sacks in the NFL this year? Do your homework! Then ask yourself "Who is more mobile in the pocket, Hasselbeck or Big Ben".  Granted, we've had a problem with the 3-4 defense team we played this year (Dallas) but I'm quite sure we'll adjust to that. Too many weapons. You can't have Palamoa covering everyone. ;)

Thats right. Inexperience has an edge over experienced, right? That will show come Feb. 5th, trust me.

Yes, finally! Competition! However we've been very good at stopping the run, I'll be amazed if both RB's get a combined 100 yards rushing or more. Our weakness is against the pass, but only between the 20 yard lines. ;)

Yeah, we've heard that emotion thing before, like the Colts were gonna stomp us when Dungy lost his son. Uh huh. Neutral crowd. Neutral site. Guess what...we have a bigger emotional edge,  its called "No respect, now we earn it". Thats bigger than Home Town any day. ;)

Let the Game Begin!

just because one team from nfc happens to lead nfl in offense by no means makes the nfc a stronger conference.  sorry.

sure you led league in sacks, point was, steelers know a few things about sacks, you dont have some "huge edge" there.

steelers beat what was considered by many the best team in the nfl, which had a rushing champ and mvp on it, last year or not, it dont matter, they were both up there again this year.  that was in the playoffs with second year QB, and yes we were underdogs.

sorry, no edge for you there either.

2 many weapons?  colts. nuff said.  heck, even the bungals had a few weapons.

Seattle has nothing, and I mean nothing the steelers havent seen before.  sorry.

You're steelers will get to know the other two real soon, and if the Steelers had any pro bowl selections, they'll be buying them drinks in Hawaii soon. ;)

Colts were overrated, just like the rest of the AFC. :)  That was evident when we were beating the Colts first string offense 14-3 in Seattle on 12/24/05. (Colts yanked them after 19 minutes of football, fearful that we'd kill Peyton...)

I will wish your team good luck, as they will certainly need the breaks of good luck on Feb. 5th. :)

I really don't know how you can call the AFC overrated.  The AFC is without a doubt the stronger conference and has been for several years.

Seattle is a good team, and undoubtedly the best in the NFC.  I believe that your fan goggles are really preventing you from seeing what they're up against.  Seattle hasn't had the strongest schedule this season, so being the number one offense isn't all that impressive.  I mean, playing teams like Green Bay, Tennessee and St. Louis, you should be able to rack up the yards.  Also keep in mind that when Seattle had to win another game to lock up the bye week in Tennessee, they just barely squeaked it out against a team that ended up 4-12.  That's far from dominate.

Seattle will give a good fight, but they just won't be able to handle Pittsburgh's pass rush.  The Steelers have the right defense to completely frustrate Seattle's attack.  And Big Ben is definitely the real deal, so he'll be able to get the job done.  He's young, but he's only lost 5 games in his entire NFL career.  Pretty impressive stuff if you ask me.
