I want one of each!

You can pick these up for about $450.

http://www.kel-tec.com/su-16_rifle.htm

Wierd the img tag for this one just will not work, clicky on linky.

Gotta pay an extra $200 tax for a "short barreled rifle" for this one.

It's a .223 pistol! Not legal in CA though, makes me wanna cry.

Where'd this Kel-Tec company come from? And how come I like the looks of all their stuff? If I weren't in the middle of my pilot training and associated expences I'd have a new toy or two.

gimmegimmegimmegimme!

my g/f's brother in law has one of these:

I've run a couple hundred rounds through it, no problems, no jams, and a whole lot of fun. Kinda plasticy feeling for me, but I'd grab one for the right price.

Two of my buddies have these:

that they use for concealed carry.  The thing is tiny, and comes with a holster.  The whole thing, in holster, looks like you're carrying a 2nd wallet.  I'm thinking of getting one for concealed carry in the summer.

I've read lots of good reviews on the Keltec SU-16, so I have a CA model on order right now. They are hard to get in my area. I plan on putting a nice scope on it and plink the heck with it. I would like to have an AR-15 but being in CA it would have to be so neutered it's not worth it.

The SU-16 has  a conventional gas piston operation and utilizes the proven M-16 breech locking system. It is compatible with standard M-16 magazines. The reciprocating bolt handle and magazine catch are on the right side, while the push bolt safety can be changed to work from either side.

WHile interesting, does this statment indicate that it uses the "proven M-16 breech locking system" as in it's proven to get jammed easily if dirty or not cleaned well?

Thats pretty much what I took it to mean. I even told myself that my AR-15/ M-16 cleaning kit will be a match fit for that rifle.

The gas mechanism is similar to the Galil design instead of the M-16 type gas system. Supposedly it fires cleaner than the AR-15 types.

I read about guns in US, you guys have aprox,500 000 000 firearms owened by population,!? that means close to 2 guns/person ,More peoples die in US in gunfights than Irak war!?
Are you going to keep those toys in your toolbox? Soo your kids can play with them?
From this point of view, you guys are soo   primitive,  you didn't get rid of those 200 years old cowboy instincs .

well if we didnt have those Cowboy instincts 200 years ago, this country would be one big liberal euro girlyman paradise, and we would be kinda like you. All filing in dutifully to see Brokeback Mountain.

So I think I keep my guns in my big toybox, and let you sip your wine coolers, and think about your apartments new curtains.

I notice you live in the country next to Serbia. You may recall that they did not have a "cowboy" period, and yet their more highly developed European instincts seem to have resulted in a few Gun Related deaths over the last decade and a half.

It looks like you may need a slightly more complex and universal answer to explain murder than cowboys and a lack of urbane European sophistication. How about oh, I don't know, the universally fallen human nature?
