New Scenario Team
« on: January 25, 2006, 04:25:03 PM »
Aces High kicks off the new year with a brand new Scenario Team.  Expect Great Things.

We are currently preparing an event designed by some crazy Finns to run in April that will introduce some spectacular "new things" regarding map building and objects.  Can't tell you yet, announcement immenant, but suffice it to say we will be actively recruiting a command team, and it would be wise to have warm gear.

In a flash of insanity and total loss of common sense, 68Falcon has made me the Lead CM of the Scenario Team.

I have forwarded this new team to the AH Community for your enjoyment.

Welcome

Culero
Brooke
Newman
Roscoroo

As your new Scenario Team Members.  Now, tell me we aren't gonna have us a good time :D

Brace yourselfs people, it's gonna get wild around here.
ROC
Nothing clever here.  Please, move along.

"Crazy Finns"? You must mean the ones (five or six or so?) in the CM team... ;)

Looking forward to the next scenario (although, I have been beta-testing the map and squishing the bugs - or does that make me a crazy Finn?) - and the ones after the next one. I'll be having fun in the scenarios, no matter what you guys in the scenario team expect from me. :)

Congrats on the new Scenario Team!

edited for some more content.

Id still like to see a european scenario! B-17/24s with P-51B/38J/47D25 escort against 109s and 190s! That would be fun!! Just my 2 cents!

Well considering the limited amount of people available. The generally dismal
intellegence level of people who chose to become CM's.  And the absolutely terrifying fact that most of the good CM's have already been lead at least once.

I'd say he made the best possible decision available.

JK Roc, Congrats bro, I'm sure you'll do well with it!

68falcon, and thanks for all you've done in the last year.

Roc for stepping up and accepting the job.

if you ever need someone to listen while you vent, a shoulder to cry on, or a friend just let me know. As they say, its lonely at the top!

WTG folks and !

I very much like to participate in scenarios and snapshots.  Unfortunately it's hit or miss with me because of my work schedule.  But the rare times that I can partcipate it's great.

Thanks much for taking your personal time to make the game more enjoyable and more authentic.  I like the realisim of the aircraft, time and place in which a Scenario takes place.  It's what the true sim flyer plays for.

Well we had Ruhr in 2004, it was a good scenario with lots of bombers (B-17) attacking Germany. I had lots of fun there.

Stay tuned, and prepare to bring friends, because this is a sure thing. Can you take "yes" for an answer? :)

Seriously, there have been great events here and the team will strive to bring more....but what's needed is more players. Anyone who talks up scenario play in the MA and persuades folks who haven't played to try it will be helping a LOT.

Scenarios are pre-planned competitive team events which are populated by registration for opposing combatant teams. They have rules of engagement, specified orders of battle, and objectives each team must achieve in order to be victors. They have chains of command organized along military lines. They are IMO the ultimate in game immersion for a game like Aces High.

Stay tuned and have your squad ready to register if that sounds good to you. Scenarios bring hundreds of combatants into the same hostile airspaces, Uncle Scenario needs YOU :aok
